Our students recently explored new horizons at the annual STEAM Fair hosted by Harkness Institute, a top-tier private high school known for its rigorous academics and unique Harkness learning model. Together, 36 students —22 from Prepanet and 14 from our Onboarding group— got to experience an interdisciplinary showcase of student-led projects tackling real-world challenges through science, technology, engineering, art, and mathematics.
For our students, it was much more than just a school outing. They gained a fresh perspective on what young people their age are capable of achieving with dedication, teamwork, and a drive for excellence. They returned with concrete ideas for elevating their own projects, impressed by the quality of the presentations, the innovative use of technology, and the clarity with which complex topics were communicated.
Beyond academics, it was also a chance to connect with peers from different backgrounds —building empathy, respect, and a sense of shared purpose.
We are deeply grateful to Harkness Institute for opening their doors to us and giving our students a glimpse into new possibilities. We hope this is just the first of many opportunities to come, continuing to broaden horizons and inspire meaningful learning experiences.
