At PEACE Punta de Mita, we are pleased to share updates on Prepanet, including academic progress, new admissions, and upcoming initiatives to enhance our students’ learning experience.
Rising to the Challenge
Starting a university-prep program is a big step, but our first-generation Prepanet students are embracing it with determination. Their first TEC evaluation revealed their hard work is paying off, with an average score of 86.05. Congratulations to Carmen Paola Maximino who is at the top of the class with an impressive 94.00!
(Note: In Mexico, academic grades are based on a 100-point scale, where 100 is the highest possible score. This may differ from letter grading systems used in the U.S. and Canada.)
Guiding Students Every Step of the Way
Adjusting from “telesecundaria” to a rigorous academic setting takes time, so we’ve extended school hours to 2:30 p.m., with plans to increase to 3:00 p.m. This will help students adjust to university expectations and better prepare our incoming class. Fridays are dedicated to “Asesorías” (counseling), offering personalized tutoring for students who may need it, one-on-one guidance on university and scholarship opportunities, and academic support tailored to their individual needs.
To help students further strength their skills, we also provide STEM tutoring and Spanish literacy workshops.

Welcoming a New Generation
Interest in Prepanet continues to grow! We are excited that 32 young people (some current PEACE students and some new to PEACE) have already applied to join our next cohort which begins August 2025.
To set them up for success, we’re launching an Onboarding Program on May 12th. This will introduce students to the Tec de Monterrey Canvas platform, provide refresher courses in Math and IT, and expand outreach efforts to Sayulita to open doors for more young learners.
Looking Ahead
There is still more to do! While we are firmly rooted in the current efforts, we are also looking toward the future. Our next steps include finalizing second generation admissions, strengthening STEM tutoring, expanding Student Council leadership roles, enhancing digital learning support, and integrating physical education and art into the curriculum.
None of this would be possible without our incredible donors, mentors, and community members. Your support is changing lives—thank you for believing in these students and helping them build a future full of possibilities!
