When Juan Sebastián Juárez Valencia first moved from Puebla to Punta de Mita with his father, it wasn’t easy. Everything felt new and overwhelming —the climate, the people, the place. But little by little, Sebastián and his dad began to find their footing in this community.
It was actually Sebastián’s father who first learned about our Campeones program and thought it would be a wonderful opportunity for his son. He encouraged Sebastián to enroll, a simple decision that ended up changing so much.
Through Campeones, Sebastián found a safe space to express himself and to explore new sides of who he is. His creativity truly shone during our Trashion Show, where he spent over 15 hours sewing his outfit, capturing plenty of attention for its originality and care. But more importantly, he discovered a circle of friends who value him for who he is—friends who have taken him to see local landmarks and helped him feel at home.
Sebastián knows that everything he is learning through PEACE will help him reach his dream of becoming a chef. And his dedication is already paying off: he recently scored a perfect 100% on the math entrance exam for Prepanet — proof of how dedication, encouragement, and a supportive community can transform lives.
We’re proud to walk alongside Sebastián on his journey, and grateful to our donors who make these stories possible every day. By supporting PEACE, you’re helping create opportunities through education—opening doors not just to academic success, but to personal growth, friendship, and a brighter future.
