Prepanet & PEACE: The Future of Education Begins Here

As we draw closer to the commencement of the Prepanet program by TEC de Monterrey & PEACE this coming August, our excitement is palpable. We are filled with anticipation for the transformative impact it will bring to our youth, their families, and our communities.

The application period closed on May 24 and we are thrilled to announce that we received an overwhelming response from the ninth-grade students in our communities. Each application and each essay was a testament to the dreams and goals of our youth. Heartfelt conversations and interviews conducted by the Admissions Committee of PEACE Punta de Mita revealed the depths of their passion and determination. From aspiring pilot to promising entrepreneur, their dreams of creating shelters for the homeless and initiatives to improve our streets ignited a flame of hope within us all. With a sense of profound pride we listened as these young candidates expressed their trust in PEACE Punta de Mita, calling it their “safe space.” They believe wholeheartedly that through the community and entrepreneurial projects we offer they can turn their dreams into reality.

The challenges of diverse socioeconomic backgrounds and academic achievements requires a holistic admissions process, one that embraces both academic excellence and the richness of personal experiences and community involvement. PEACE strives to ensure a fair and inclusive admissions process that honors the unique potential of every individual.

The Prepanet program represents the combined efforts of many of our friends and donors, and it offers an invaluable opportunity for our youth in Punta de Mita. PEACE is committed to nurturing holistic development through elective courses such as Digital Arts, as well as extracurricular activities such as community service/volunteering and sports. The passion and dedication exemplified by these young people mirror the vibrant spirit of our communities, and we are resolved in our commitment to support their educational journey every step of the way.

The highly anticipated opening of the PEACE Punta de Mita Community Center is just around the corner. It marks a significant milestone in our mission to break down barriers to education and provide accessible learning opportunities for all. As we prepare for the inauguration of this outstanding facility, we extend our deepest gratitude to everyone involved in making this dream a reality. Your support and contributions have paved the way for these young people to achieve their full potential.

We look forward to welcoming our new Prepanet & PEACE youth and witnessing their growth and success. Together we can continue to make a positive lasting impact in our communities.
